Softball Game Preview: Wake Prep Academy Guardians vs. East Wake Academy Eagles

The Wake Prep Academy Guardians will head out on the road to take on the East Wake Academy Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Wake Prep Academy is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Vance Charter just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 4-3.

Emma Chambers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmy Kirby, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for East Wake Academy's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Rosewood, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. East Wake Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Wake Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Wake Prep Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Wake Prep Academy couldn't quite finish off East Wake Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 and fell 11-9. Can Wake Prep Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
