Basketball Game Preview: Springdale Prep Lions vs. Evergreen Christian Eagles

Two dominant guards in Kisean Robinson and Jackson Britt are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Springdale Prep Lions will venture away from home to take on the Evergreen Christian Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Springdale Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.

Springdale Prep is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maryland's top teams: Prince George's Christian Academy Blue, who was ranked 25th at the time (Springdale Prep was ranked 21st). Springdale Prep narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Prince George's Christian Academy Blue 75-73.

Meanwhile, Evergreen Christian ended up a good deal behind St. Anne's-Belfield on Friday and lost 72-57.

Springdale Prep is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. As for Evergreen Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.

Springdale Prep might still be hurting after the 72-51 loss they got from Evergreen Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Springdale Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
