After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Milledgeville, Midland was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Woodland Warriors 6-4. This was payback for the Timberwolves, who suffered a 16-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.
The team relied heavily on Maggie Dorsey, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Sophia Coccia was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
Midland now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Woodland, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
