Softball Recap: Wautoma Takes a Loss

Wautoma managed to slip by Wisconsin Dells the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hornets lost 13-6 to the Chiefs on Tuesday. The Hornets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Wautoma has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Wisconsin Dells, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Wautoma will take on Nekoosa at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Papermakers have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Wisconsin Dells, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Adams-Friendship at 5:00 p.m.
