Hoover hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost three straight ) but thanks in part to Mallory Stutzman that streak is no more. The Vikings walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Mayfield Kansas on Monday with plenty of help from Stutzman, who had 26 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played.

Hoover had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-9, 25-13, 25-17.

Hoover's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Mayfield, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Hoover will square off against Nordonia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mayfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
