Volleyball Recap: Los Amigos Takes a Loss

If Los Amigos was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Century last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Los Amigos Lobos fell just short of the Loara Saxons by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While the Lobos didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Saxons 25-19 in the first set.

Los Amigos took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-23, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Los Amigos lost, don't look at Adam Tran. Despite the final result, he had 15 digs. The dominant performance gave Tran a new career-high in digs.

Los Amigos' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Loara, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Coming up, Los Amigos will host Saddleback at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Loara, they will venture away from home to face off against Orange at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Loara is facing Orange at the right time seeing as Orange is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
