Basketball Recap: Bishop Verot's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Bishop Verot proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 23) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Naples Golden Eagles, sneaking past 54-51. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 71-37 loss the last time these two teams met.

Bishop Verot's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Austin Leslie led the charge by going 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds. Eddie Gore also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.
