Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Mainland's Fourth in Last Five Outings

The Mainland Buccaneers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 79-76 win over the Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks on Wednesday thanks in part to Manley, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 29 points and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game.

Another player making a difference was Canyon Powers, who posted ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Mainland is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Jordan Christian Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.
