Basketball Game Preview: Waynesboro Little Giants vs. Riverheads Gladiators

The Waynesboro Little Giants will challenge the Riverheads Gladiators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Waynesboro and three for Riverheads.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-44, which was the final score in Waynesboro's tilt against Wilson Memorial on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Little Giants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while the Green Hornets are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, Riverheads lost 73-53 to Wilson Memorial on Tuesday.

Riverheads now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Waynesboro, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.

Waynesboro came up short against Riverheads in their previous matchup back in January, falling 55-42. Can Waynesboro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
