Basketball Recap: Lanesboro Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Lanesboro, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-37 win over the Mabel-Canton Cougars on Friday. The Burros' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

When it comes to explaining why Mabel-Canton lost, don't look at Isaac Underbakke. Despite the final result, he posted six points along with ten rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kale Tollefsrud, who put up eight points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Lanesboro's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Mabel-Canton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.

Lanesboro will take on Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Houston's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matchups. Mabel-Canton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
