Basketball Recap: Stephenville's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Stephenville entered their match against Graford on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Stephenville Yellow Jackets/Honeybees fell just short of the Graford Rabbits by a score of 62-59. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while the Rabbits are ranked 488th).

Stephenville's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-2. As for Graford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stephenville will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Worth at 12:30 p.m. on December 31st. Graford will take on De Leon in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
