Basketball Recap: Bath County Takes a Loss

If Bath County was feeling good fresh off their 55-21 takedown of Meadow Bridge back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bath County Chargers were outmatched by the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues and fell 71-43. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Fighting Blues are ranked 197th).

Bath County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Parry McCluer, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Bath County will face off against Riverheads at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parry McCluer, they will challenge Craig County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
