Recap: Providence School Stallions vs. Nease Panthers
The Providence School Stallions had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They blew past Nease 49-26. Given Providence School's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Nease is ranked 167th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Providence School's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Mcabee, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Arias, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Providence School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Nease, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Providence School will look to defend their home court on Friday against Impact Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. Impact Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. Nease's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bartram Trail at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th.
