It was a good run, but Penfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. The game between the Penfield Patriots and the Pittsford Panthers didn't end well, with the Penfield Patriots falling 52-36. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Penfield's loss dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Pittsford, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-5.

Penfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pittsford, they will face off against Palmyra-Macedon at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pittsford is on a four-game streak of home wins, Palmyra-Macedon a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
