Volleyball Recap: Hooper Academy Falls to Abbeville Christian Academy in First Game of Season

Hooper Academy kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Abbeville Christian Academy Generals by a score of 3-2. The Colts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Generals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Hooper Academy actually scored more points across those five sets (104-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 15-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-8.

Abbeville Christian Academy pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Hooper Academy will welcome Crenshaw Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
