Basketball Game Preview: Leavitt Hornets vs. Medomak Valley Panthers

The Leavitt Hornets will challenge the Medomak Valley Panthers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Leavitt will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Leavitt is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 48-35 victory over Yarmouth.

Medomak Valley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Camden Hills on Friday.

Leavitt's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points over those games. As for Medomak Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Things could have been worse for Leavitt, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-43 loss to Medomak Valley in their previous meeting back in January. Can Leavitt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
