Baseball Game Preview: Jackson North Side Indians vs. Hardin County Tigers

Jackson North Side is 0-7-1 against Hardin County since March of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Tigers at 6:35 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jackson North Side barely beat Greenfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians were the clear victors by a 17-8 margin over the Yellowjackets on Friday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hardin County entered their tilt with Millington Central on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Trojans. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly three runs.

The win made it two in a row for Jackson North Side and bumps their season record up to 10-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Hardin County, their win bumped their record up to 19-4.

Jackson North Side came up short against Hardin County when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 5-2. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
