Recap: Triton Trojans vs. Caston Comets
The Triton Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 50-20 loss at the hands of Caston. Triton has not had much luck with Caston recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Caston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isabel Scales led the charge by scoring 12 points along with 8 rebounds. The matchup was Scales' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Addison Zimpleman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 3 steals.
Triton's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Caston, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triton will take on Jimtown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Caston, they will head out on the road to face off against Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pioneer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 351st, while Caston is ranked 41st).
