Volleyball Game Preview: Camden County Bruins vs. Holmes Aces

The Camden County Bruins will head out on the road to challenge the Holmes Aces at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Camden County's victory against Manteo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bruins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Redskins on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Redskins: they've now won four in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Camden County who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 18-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Holmes made easy work of Research Triangle Academy on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Camden County's record is now 22-5. As for Holmes, their record now sits at 23-3.

Camden County couldn't quite get it done against Holmes in their previous meeting last Tuesday as they fell 3-1. Can the Bruins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
