Softball Game Preview: Briarcrest Christian Saints vs. Collierville Dragons

Briarcrest Christian is 2-8 against Collierville since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Saints will challenge the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Briarcrest Christian and Arlington have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Saints came up short against the Tigers, falling 8-2.

Briarcrest Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Gleason, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Collierville didn't have quite enough to beat St. George's on Friday and fell 7-6. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Collierville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10-1. As for Briarcrest Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-18.

Briarcrest Christian suffered a grim 15-1 defeat to Collierville in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Can the Saints avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
