Baseball Recap: Hopkins Academy Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Hopkins Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Hampshire Regional on Friday. The Golden Hawks put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 9-3 victory. The Golden Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Hopkins Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hampshire Regional, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, Hopkins Academy will take on Amherst-Pelham Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Hawks are facing the Hurricanes at the right time seeing as the Hurricanes are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hampshire Regional, they will face off against Wahconah Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
