Basketball Recap: Brookfield Warriors vs. Crestview Rebels
Brookfield lost against Crestview back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Brookfield Warriors had to suffer through a 64-19 loss at the hands of the Crestview Rebels. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 745th, while the Rebels are ranked 113th).
Addison Rhodes was her usual excellent self, putting up 20 points in addition to six steals and five boards for Crestview. Rhodes' evening made it 13 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bri DiCross, who posted eight points and six steals.
Brookfield dropped their record down to 2-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Crestview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookfield will face off against Pymatuning Valley at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Pymatuning Valley will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Brookfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Crestview, they will take on Newton Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Crestview knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Newton Falls likes a good challenge.
