Football Preview: East Central Trojans vs. South Dearborn Knights        
        
		
             East Central is 10-0 against South Dearborn since September of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Friday. The East Central Trojans will challenge the South Dearborn Knights at 7:00  p.m. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 If South Dearborn heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when East Central took over last week. East Central walked away with  a   24-13  win over Batesville  on Friday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Trojans.
 East Central found their leader in underclassman  Ryan Minges, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown.
 One reason for the win was East Central's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks.  Braden Becknell was especially locked on to Batesville's QB and sacked him twice. Becknell also set a new season high mark in  total tackles with 11.
 Meanwhile, South Dearborn got the win against Greensburg  on Friday by a conclusive  28-3. Given the Knights' advantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings  (they are ranked 115th, while the Pirates are ranked 273rd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 East Central pushed their record up to 3-2 with the  victory, which was their 11th straight  at home dating back to last season. As for South Dearborn, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
 Everything came up roses for East Central against South Dearborn in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023, as the  squad secured  a  51-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Central since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
