Basketball Recap: Mancos Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Michael Krupa and Michael Resner + How To Watch

Mancos's game on Saturday was all tied up 27-27 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. The matchup between the Bluejays and the Sargent Farmers didn't end well, with the Bluejays falling 52-38. If the Bluejays were looking for revenge after losing 49-25 to the Farmers when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Michael Resner and Michael Krupa certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Resner posted 14 points and four steals, while Krupa earned five points and five steals. Resner is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.

Sargent found their leader in sophomore Kyler Jones, who went 9-for-13 en route to 25 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kenyon Knorr, who shot 46% from the field to rack up 13 points and five steals.

Mancos' loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Mancos wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 76-30 defeat against Ignacio on the 9th. As for Sargent, they have also already played their next game, a 45-21 win against Lake City Community on the 6th.
