Recap: Ohio School for the Deaf Spartans vs. Marie Philip Galloping Ghosts

After a string of five wins, the Ohio School for the Deaf Spartans's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 65-42 defeat at the hands of Marie Philip. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Ohio School for the Deaf struggled afterwards.

It was another big night for Xavier DeLeon, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 steals for Marie Philip. DeLeon is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Novas, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Ohio School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Marie Philip, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Ohio School for the Deaf's road trip will continue as they head out to face Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. Marie Philip does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
