Volleyball Recap: Canajoharie/Fort Plain Comes Up Short

Canajoharie/Fort Plain lost against Fonda-Fultonville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Canajoharie/Fort Plain lost 3-0 to Fonda-Fultonville. Canajoharie/Fort Plain has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Canajoharie/Fort Plain was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, 25-22.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fonda-Fultonville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sidnee Linart, who had 16 digs and seven kills. Those 16 digs gave Linart a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Onaleah Egelston, who had 12 kills and nine digs.

Canajoharie/Fort Plain's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fonda-Fultonville, they pushed their record up to 13-3-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Canajoharie/Fort Plain will face off against Hoosic Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fonda-Fultonville, they will take on Mekeel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
