Sharon came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Jamestown Muskies get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Muskies, too.

Madelyn Vogan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

Vogan wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Claire Bodien, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Sharon pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games. As for Jamestown, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sharon will challenge rival Franklin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Jamestown is set to face off against their familiar foe Slippery Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
