Basketball Recap: East Peoria's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Wednesday

East Peoria won the last time they faced Washington and things went their way on Wednesday too. The East Peoria Raiders came out on top against the Washington Panthers by a score of 54-46. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Panthers are ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Peoria has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Peoria will take on Morton at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Morton will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something East Peoria surely won't give up without a fight. As for Washington, they will face off against Dunlap at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Washington is facing Dunlap at the right time seeing as Dunlap is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
