Recap: Lawrence Academy Warriors vs. Nandua Warriors

There's no place like home for the Lawrence Academy Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Nandua 70-67. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Leading Lawrence Academy to victory were Conner Ferebee and Mari Larry. Ferebee scored 20 points, while Larry scored 23 points. The contest was Larry's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Lee, who scored ten points.

Nandua lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Makai Dorn, who scored 14 points. Ny'Zir Dix was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Lawrence Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Nandua, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Lawrence Academy will head out on the road to face off against Northeast Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Northeast Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 two weeks ago. As for Nandua, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Granby at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Granby is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
