Baseball Recap: Pine Comes Up Short

Pine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Springfield Bulldogs. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Springfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Springfield beat Pine by a score of 8-5 on Thursday.
