Softball Recap: Midlothian Heritage's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to 11

Midlothian Heritage came tearing into Tuesday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Crandall Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-0 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Taylor Bilderback, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ariel Dean, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Bilderback wasn't the only one making solid contact: Midlothian Heritage kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in ten consecutive matches.

Midlothian Heritage pushed their record up to 21-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Crandall, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-8.

Looking ahead, Midlothian Heritage will host Terrell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Crandall, they will venture away from home to face off against Kaufman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
