Preview: Lone Peak Big Horns vs. Jefferson Panthers
After two games on the road, Lone Peak is heading back home. The Lone Peak Big Horns and the Jefferson Panthers will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Lone Peak pushed their score all the way to 61 last Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Park City. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (59), Lone Peak still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Jefferson ended up a good deal behind Manhattan on Friday and lost 64-48. Jefferson has not had much luck with Manhattan recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Loss or not, Jefferson got some senior leadership from Colt Tietje who scored 19 points and Dalton Noble who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Noble's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Hunter Stevens was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Lone Peak's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
