Basketball Game Preview: Anacortes Seahawks vs. Lynden Christian Lyncs

The Anacortes Seahawks will face off against the Lynden Christian Lyncs at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Anacortes sitting on four straight wins and Lynden Christian on seven.

Last Saturday, Anacortes strolled past Mt. Baker with points to spare, taking the game 60-45. Given the Seahawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Mountaineers are ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Lynden Christian against Squalicum on Saturday as the team secured an 80-52 victory. The Lyncs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Anacortes' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Lynden Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.

Anacortes was able to grind out a solid win over Lynden Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 78-66. Does Anacortes have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lynden Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
