Basketball Game Preview: Glidden-Ralston Wildcats vs. Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders

Glidden-Ralston is 1-9 against Coon Rapids-Bayard since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Glidden-Ralston Wildcats will take on the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders at 7:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Glidden-Ralston is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They fell 64-55 to Ar-We-Va.

Meanwhile, Coon Rapids-Bayard got the win against Boyer Valley on Friday by a conclusive 64-44. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Coon Rapids-Bayard is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Glidden-Ralston, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.

Glidden-Ralston came up short against Coon Rapids-Bayard in their previous matchup back in January, falling 59-46. Can Glidden-Ralston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
