Recap: Fairfield Tigers vs. Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles
The Fairfield Tigers had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They strolled past Booker T. Washington with points to spare, taking the game 66-52. Given Fairfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Booker T. Washington is ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Booker T. Washington still got an impressive performance from Elijah Hall, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Raymond Minor, who scored nine points.
Fairfield pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19 points. As for Booker T. Washington, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
