The biggest upset of the week belonged to Boswell, who defeated 87th ranked Birdville, 14-9.
Fans got a thrill when John Polston and Jaylen King connected against Carter-Riverside. The connection was good for 72 yards, the longest such play in 4A Region I District 6 this season.
Saginaw's dynamic duo of Polston and King proved tough for the Eagles to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Polston threw for 209 yards and King had 83 yards receiving. Austin Wright helped Saginaw's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 84 yards.

Xavier Turner was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 200 yards on 35 carries as the Hawks bested Jim Jeffries' team. Will Hayward also contributed to the rushing game with 73 yards on the ground.

King was the best receiver in the league this week as the Rough Riders defeated Carter-Riverside.
Saginaw's Polston and Wright have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 4A Region I District 6 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Polston has thrown for 247 yards this season, while Wright has 6 catches for 114 yards. Turner from Birdville leads the league in rushing with 584 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Dunbar takes on second place Birdville. Last week, Dunbar bested Chisholm Trail, while Jim Skinner's team fell to the Pioneers.
The Hawks' offense has racked up 97 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Wildcats have allowed only 32 on the year.

Boswell scaled the state rankings by moving to 423 from 531 this week, the biggest jump in the league. John Abendschan's team climbed the ranks as a result of beating Birdville 14-9.
