Softball Game Preview: Nokomis Warriors vs. Cony Rams

Nokomis is a perfect 5-0 against Cony since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Nokomis put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They blew past Oceanside 17-5. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Warriors' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Cony beat Lincoln Academy 10-7 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly three runs.

The win made it two in a row for Cony and bumps their season record up to 5-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Nokomis, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Nokomis took their victory against Cony in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
