Volleyball Game Preview: Columbus North Bull Dogs vs. Shelbyville Golden Bears

The Columbus North Bull Dogs will take on the Shelbyville Golden Bears at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Columbus North will be strutting in after a win while Shelbyville will be coming in after a defeat.

Columbus North is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Greenwood Christian Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bull Dogs.

Meanwhile, Shelbyville didn't have quite enough to beat Christel House on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shelbyville wouldn't go down easily and took Christel House into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 19-25, 14-25, 25-19, 15-8.

Shelbyville's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Columbus North, their win bumped their record up to 11-18.

Columbus North was able to grind out a solid victory over Shelbyville when the teams last played back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bull Dogs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
