Basketball Game Preview: Lake Central Indians vs. Hinsdale South Hornets

The Lake Central Indians are taking a road trip to square off against the Hinsdale South Hornets at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lake Central is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Portage: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Lake Central blew Portage out of the water with a 59-5 final score. Lake Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hinsdale South). They blew past Willowbrook, posting a 69-38 victory. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Hornets with their most commanding win of the season.

Lake Central's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Hinsdale South, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
