Aragon proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Sequoia Ravens 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dons also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Aragon wouldn't go down easily and took Sequoia into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-16, 14-25, 25-21, 15-9.
Caitlyn Robertson paced Aragon's offense, picking up 17 kills. Robertson were helped by Devyn Lee and Gabriella Xiao, who contributed 18 assists each. Xiao was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.
Aragon is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Sequoia, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-6.
