Preview: Daniel Lions vs. Pendleton Bulldogs
Daniel is 9-1 against Pendleton since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Daniel Lions will head out on the road to take on the Pendleton Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Daniel put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Seneca 77-55. The win made it back-to-back wins for Daniel.
It was another big night for Hayden Anderson, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Williams, who scored 13 points.
Pendleton posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They put the hurt on Crescent with a sharp 48-24 win. The victory was just what Pendleton needed coming off of a 73-36 defeat in their prior matchup.
Daniel's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.7 points per game. As for Pendleton, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Daniel was able to grind out a solid victory over Pendleton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 49-40. Will Daniel repeat their success, or does Pendleton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
