Baseball Recap: Austin-East Takes a Loss

Austin-East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Alcoa Tornadoes, falling 20-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Roadrunners of the 17-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Austin-East's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Alcoa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

While Austin-East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
