Volleyball Recap: Indian Valley Braves vs. East Liverpool Potters
After a string of three wins, Indian Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the East Liverpool Potters by a score of 3-2. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Potters apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2018.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Indian Valley sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 15-25, 25-21, 17-25, 15-4.
Elliona Stidd paced Indian Valley's offense, picking up 16 kills. Stidd got some help from
Brooklyn Abbuhl and her 40 assists.
Lillian Lewis controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Indian Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for East Liverpool, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.
Indian Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. East Liverpool has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against River View on the 24th.
