Softball Recap: Nekoosa Takes a Loss

After soaring to 25 runs the game before, Nekoosa was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds, falling 8-1.

Nekoosa got a good showing from Raegen Wilhorn, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Nekoosa saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Ostrum, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Nekoosa now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Iola-Scandinavia, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Nekoosa will host Athens at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Iola-Scandinavia, they will head out to square off against Weyauwega-Fremont at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
