Soccer Game Preview: Gladwin vs. Beaverton

The Gladwin Flying G will venture away from home to take on the Beaverton Beavers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gladwin's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Tuesday, Gladwin didn't have quite enough to beat Bullock Creek and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Beaverton made sure to put some goals up on the board against Shepherd on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Bluejays 4-3. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Beaverton's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Gladwin's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-2. As for Beaverton, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.

Gladwin beat Beaverton 3-1 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flying G's since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
