Basketball Recap: North Davidson Black Knights vs. Oak Grove Grizzlies
After only one point in their last game, the North Davidson Black Knights made sure to put some points up on the board against the Oak Grove Grizzlies on Tuesday. North Davidson enjoyed a cozy 74-55 win over the Grizzlies. The win made it back-to-back wins for North Davidson.
North Davidson found their leader in underclassman Kamauri Manuel, who scored 15 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Manuel has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Payton Eccles was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Oak Grove lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tristan Nunez, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Max Hurt, who scored 13 points.
Oak Grove struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
North Davidson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Oak Grove, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11.
