Baseball Recap: Clyde Takes a Loss

Clyde has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wall Hawks, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Friday.

Clyde saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Guzman, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Clyde and nudges their season record down to 12-5-1. As for Wall, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clyde will head out to challenge Jim Ned at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wall, they will head out on the road to take on Abilene at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
