Basketball Game Preview: Bothell Cougars vs. North Creek Jaguars

Bothell hasn't had much luck against North Creek recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bothell Cougars face off against the North Creek Jaguars at 5:40 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Bothell is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Redmond on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Bothell lost 84-61 to Redmond. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-25.

Despite the loss, Bothell got top-tier performance from Stefan Savovic, who went 8 of 10 on his way to 21 points in addition to five boards and four steals. That's the most points Savovic has posted since back in November of 2024. Nassir Gatdet was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, North Creek was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 64-59 to Lake Washington. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bothell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for North Creek, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.
