Basketball Recap: Bandys Starts off Right with Win over Wilkes Central

Bandys gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Wilkes Central Eagles with a sharp 76-50 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Leading Bandys to victory were Evan Robinson and Kayden Henrickson. Robinson went 8-for-12 en route to 20 points in addition to seven boards and five steals, while Henrickson shot 40% from the field to rack up 18 points and seven rebounds. Those 18 points gave Henrickson a new career-high. Brady Swett was another key player, going 5-for-7 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Wilkes Central is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Bandys will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against South Iredell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilkes Central, they will look to defend their home court on December 2 against West Caldwell at 8:00 p.m.
