Preview: Powers Catholic Chargers vs. Central Wolves
After three games on the road, Powers Catholic is heading back home. They will take on the Central Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Powers Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 845 points over their last 12 matchups.
Powers Catholic pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-56 to Saginaw. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Powers Catholic has scored all season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jesse Cull, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Connor Kelly was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 14 rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Central, who are still winless after their tenth match. They had to suffer through a rough 68-38 loss at the hands of Dow. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Central has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Powers Catholic's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2. As for Central, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-10.
